An Officer and a Gentleman--Eric Cooper is Neither

Tonight, ABC-TV's 20/20 aired a follow up to their April 2005 show on Eric Cooper, the 30-year old convicted bigamist con man who was married or engaged to at least ten women in a ten-year period. The con man fathered four children and left a trail of destruction and heartbreak. Cooper was sentenced this past week to 15 years in prison for tampering with a government document.

Many of his wives joined forces to bring Cooper to justice and prevent him from doing this to another woman. They refer to themselves the "Ex-Wives Club".

Cooper claimed to me a former Navy SEAL, a Navy pilot, and a graduate of the Naval Academy. He used at least three aliases.

In reply to Thomas. I see Eric Cooper has you fooled too! LOL! I'm the mother of one of his victims and I can assure you, he is a con-man. We took him to court for tampering because he knew the system so well, that was the only charge that would stick. But the jury saw the WHOLE picture in the process. He STOLE several thousand from me and my husband. Then he tried to put his name on my daughter's car so he could sell that out from under her. He also was pushing her to quit college 6 months before she was to graduate with her BSN. Thank God, she knew better. Eric Cooper is as evil as a human being can be and the devil loves friends like you.
BTW - he's now in jail for molesting a 14 yo while he had a new wife and child at home.

This man is hopefully somebody's wife in prison. He should've gotten life for the lives he's ruined. I don't care if someone knew him in school and can't believe what this asshole has done. I was dating one of his victims and he approached me as a marine. I only wish my friend that was with me had not intervened otherwise his bubble would have been burst much earlier. This story about this pathetic waste of a human is true I was there. I would still like 5 minutes alone with him. I assure you he would never be the same.

THis is a bunch of bullshit..I know Mr. Cooper and went to school with him...The so called wife who he was married to as told people that he signed the divorce papers but she didnt file them because he wouldnt give her his $30,000.00 Ford Truck...She is a Meth head and I was in the court room at the trail and the prosecter had to tell Ms Herren to sit still because he could tell she was messed up on something...Mr Cooper Got to much time and this whole thing was a waste of taxpayer money...if u look up the crime under texas law the charge of Tampering with a Goverment Document is a Class A Misdeamenor...Plus how is Mr. COoper suppose to know that Ms Herren never filed the papers after he signed them....You people need to stop listening to the mass media...That is why America is so messed up..The News media finds u guilty before u even go to trial...
