Georgia Man Accused of Having 8 Wives

Fairley A metro Atlanta man is in jail, accused of having eight wives. William James Fairley of College Park turned himself in to Gwinnett County police on Thursday. Officials say the Gwinnett County probate found eight different marriage certificates for the 34-year-old Fairley to different women.

Fairley faces bigamy and false swearing charges -- all considered felonies. Customs officials are now looking for the women to see if they all married Fairley to become U.S. citizens.

Fairley is being held at the Gwinnett County Detention Center on $39,900 bond.
