Ed Hicks trial for the class four felony charge of bigamy will be Thursday, March 2 in the Circuit Court of Chesapeake, VA at 10 AM. The bigamy charge involves the marriages of Julie Flint Hicks and Rose Hicks. Both women will be at the trial as well as at least one other wife and a few of his online victims. Hicks has seven confirmed marriages and four of them overlap. A judge will render his decision on March 2, but sentencing for Hicks will not be until a later date.
Hicks was denied bond in Chesapeake on February 2, and he has been sitting in jail since December 12, with the exception of a less than 24-hour hiatus when bond was granted and Hicks was released from jail in Chesapeake. However, Hicks was told not to leave the Commonwealth of Virginia. What did Ed Hicks do? He immediately fled to North Carolina, was trying to kick his former girlfriends' door down, and he was promptly arrested again in Charlotte and brought back to Virginia on January 18.
