An investigator with the Licking County Domestic Relations Court uncovered at least three wives and contacted Newark detectives Feb. 18, 2009, according to court records.
Young was married in Licking County twice — once in 1992 and again in 1995 — and both of those marriages were legally dissolved, according to court records. However, records showed a 1999 marriage in Fairfield County, a 2000 marriage in Nashville, Tenn., and his latest wedding in 2008 are all active in the eyes of the law.
In March 2009, Young told Newark detectives his three most recent marriages were never legally dissolved. Young also lied on marriage licenses, saying he had not been divorced, according to court records.
He attempted to get a divorce in 2004 in Licking County, but the case was dismissed after he couldn’t be reached.
One wife described him as a playboy to detectives, according to court records. Young also told detectives he did not think anyone would catch him.
